It makes sense for Paris to fill my first post this year. Wandering through Old Europe made for long overdue resolutions. More England later. For now..

The Louvre and d'Orsay are impressive. But there was something more about the 18th century mansion the government decided to offer to Rodin in exchange for most of his works. The place is about rickety hardwood, old mirrors, Camille Claudel's understated story and of course, Rodin's complete emotional acuity.

And then there were the gardens...

The details...
And the streets..
À bientôt.
